More Big Names = More Success?

Following this article here: Gerrard wants Liverpool to splash the cash

Liverpool is one of the most successful clubs in British Football or even in the world. But did their success built on buying big names? The simple answer is no. Their team back in the 70s or 80s were made up of some not very popular players that were trained by Liverpool themselves that went on to become the world's top players.

Gerrard wouldn't have become the captain of Liverpool as we see him now if hasn't given a chance to prove his worth back in his time. So give the young lads some time to prove their worth. Patient is the key to success as the old folks say.

Look at my team, Man Utd. Their players were mainly trained by Man Utd themselves. They didn't spent big money on big players if unnecessarily. You guys need to build the squad from the squad itself. Not by bringing in big names or new players. The squad is fine! With Torres, Kuyt, Xabi Alonso, Gerrard, what else can you ask for? These players are 1st class players which can transfer to any team and instantly become the 1st team squad members. Train more, not spend more.

If you really want to spend some money, go ahead, spend the money on defensive players not attacking players.

Last but not least, Glory glory Man Utd. Hehe
